Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 Important new rights for your community

Come along to a locality meeting in your area next week and find out what the Act says about:

• Community participation in community planning
• New powers for communities to formally request to participate in the planning and delivery of services in their area
• Increased powers for communities to use and control publicly owned buildings for community purposes

Learn about and comment on the recently published regulations, which tell us how the Act will be put into practice, and discuss how everyone can work together to make the most of the opportunities and rights it affords. These meetings are taking place within the newly agreed Wellbeing Localities and there will be an opportunity to meet with other groups and organisations active in your area. If your organisation is a community of interest or Inverclyde-wide, please come along on a date that suits you best.
