UK Govt Backtrack on Refugee Children

I welcomed the backtrack from the UK Government in-relation to calls for the UK to accept unaccompanied refugee children from Greece, Italy and France.

Angus Robertson MP has again put pressure on David Cameron for the UK government to accept child refugees in Europe, asking why it has taken so long, and the threat of a parliamentary defeat for him to change his mind.
The prime minister climbed down in the face of a growing rebellion among Conservative MPs who were preparing to back an amendment by Labour peer Lord Dubs.

I continue to receive correspondence from constituents who are asking what action both the UK and Scotland are taking to support refugees.

I welcome the backtrack from the Prime Minister on the UK accepting unaccompanied refugee children from Europe. However, it took a possible parliamentary defeat for the Prime Minister to change his mind.
