I am urging all Inverclyde residents to get online and vote for a local community project to win their share of £3 million of National Lottery Funding. You can vote here – https://www.thepeoplesprojects.org.uk/projects/view/technology-in-retirement
Since 2005, the Big Lottery Fund and ITV have given the public a say in awarding more than £33 million of National Lottery funding to 675 Good Causes across the UK. In the West of Scotland region, Access Technology Scotland is the only project from Inverclyde.
The project needs funds to expand an existing project called ‘Technology in Retirement’ that provides older people with the opportunity to begin using digital technology. The project will conduct 2 hour sessions 4 times a week for 48 weeks. Participants will receive at least 16 weeks of workshops, assistance to acquire broadband at homes, a loan of tablet for at least one week and access to the online community. The project will also work closely with four partners who provide referrals.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support a local project in Inverclyde and all you need to do is go online and vote. Winning this money would mean Technology in Retirement can reach out to more people and make the project bigger and better.
Free technology workshops for older people in Inverclyde makes sure that no one is left behind and that our aging population is connected with our community.
Voting is free, only takes a couple of minutes and could secure funding for free technology workshops across Inverclyde.
