This week in parliament I supported the Small Business Saturday initiative that encourages everybody to shop local and support the small businesses that are trading in their local area. I led a Westminster Hall Debate on the subject on Tuesday in Parliament where I championed all the small businesses of Inverclyde, have a watch here.
Small Business Saturday takes place this Saturday and I will be attending an event organised by the Pirate and Bluebelle. They will be building on last years event, which was hugely successful, by offering visitors refreshments and also free entry into a prize draw.
You can get involved throughout December, this year Kempock Street are opening late to cater for holiday season shoppers.
Thursday 3rd, 10th and 17th of December will be open until 8pm and
Sundays 12:30 – 16:30.
